About the Position
ISC is looking for a German language teacher with experience in teaching Secondary (Grades 5-10). This is a full-time classroom position. The curriculum taught is primarily based on the programme from the German state of Schleswig- Holstein. This teacher will also be asked to teach interdisciplinary project-based learning courses during the afternoon program as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & teach German to a selection of students from Grades 5-10.

• Prepare & teach afternoon program lessons as needed (not applicable to part-time)

• Administer and model ISC’s school policies and procedures (e.g., attendance, dress code, etc.).

• Regularly collect, track, and communicate student performance and growth.

• Maintain regular email correspondence with parents and students.

Benefits

• Salary: 48,000-56,000 euros (for full-time compensation).

Qualifications

Required

• Native-level German Language Mastery

• Professional Mastery of the English Language

• 3 years of teaching experience

• Education:

  • Either: Master’s degree in German

  • OR: Bachelor’s degree in German with Master’s Degree in Education

  • OR: German Teaching license for the subject of Germ

Desired

• Experience with IB Curriculum

• Non-traditional work experience

This is a full-time classroom position initially for an initial two-year duration, with a potential opportunity to extend.

This is a full-time classroom position initially for a two-year duration with the potential to extend for the right candidate. This teacher may also be asked to teach interdisciplinary project-based learning courses during our afternoon programme as needed, such as one of our Guild programmes.

Qualifications
