About the Position
ISC is looking for a German language teacher with experience in teaching Secondary (Grades 5-10). This is a full-time classroom position. The curriculum taught is primarily based on the programme from the German state of Schleswig- Holstein. This teacher will also be asked to teach interdisciplinary project-based learning courses during the afternoon program as needed.

  • Prepare & teach German to a selection of students from Grades 5-10.

  • Prepare & teach afternoon program lessons as needed (not applicable to part-time)

  • Administer and model ISC’s school policies and procedures (e.g., attendance, dress code, etc.).

  • Regularly collect, track, and communicate student performance and growth.

  • Maintain regular email correspondence with parents and students.

Benefits

  • Salary: 48,000-56,000 euros (for full-time compensation).

  • Relocation: provided for all teachers outside of Germany. Amount depends on individual circumstances such as distance and dependents.

Qualifications

Required

  • Native-level German Language Mastery

  • Professional Mastery of the English Language

WABE International School is looking for a Humanities teacher with experience in teaching at the Secondary level (Grades 5-12). This is a full-time classroom position. The curriculum taught is primarily based on the programme from the German state of Schleswig-Holstein and the IBDP Curriculum. This teacher may also be asked to teach interdisciplinary project-based learning courses during the afternoon program as needed.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Prepare & teach a mixture of Humanities courses (e.g. History, Geography, Politics, and Philosophy) to students between grades 5-10, though support may also be needed in the IBDP (11-12).
  • Prepare & teach lessons in sister subjects and/or afternoon program lessons as needed (not applicable to part-time).
  • Administer and model WIS’s school policies and procedures (e.g., attendance, code of conduct, etc.).
  • Maintain a gradebook in line with organizational requirements that is backed by fair, accurate and transparent assessments.
  • Communicate issues in a timely, respectful and situationally appropriate manner between students, teachers and parents.
  • Participate in collaboration sessions, conferences and school-wide events.
  • Engage in professional development.
  • Support the school’s commitment to being a diverse, inclusive community.
  • Be comfortable using technology to support learning and lesson delivery.
