About the Position
ISC is looking for a German language teacher with experience in teaching Secondary (Grades 5-10). This is a full-time classroom position. The curriculum taught is primarily based on the programme from the German state of Schleswig- Holstein. This teacher will also be asked to teach interdisciplinary project-based learning courses during the afternoon program as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare & teach German to a selection of students from Grades 5-10.

  • Prepare & teach afternoon program lessons as needed (not applicable to part-time)

  • Administer and model ISC’s school policies and procedures (e.g., attendance, dress code, etc.).

  • Regularly collect, track, and communicate student performance and growth.

  • Maintain regular email correspondence with parents and students.

Benefits

  • Salary: 48,000-56,000 euros (for full-time compensation).

  • Relocation: provided for all teachers outside of Germany. Amount depends on individual circumstances such as distance and dependents.

Qualifications

Required

  • Native-level German Language Mastery

  • Professional Mastery of the English Language

  • 3 years of teaching experience

  • Education:

    • Either: Master’s degree in German

    • OR: Bachelor’s degree in German with Master’s Degree in Education

    • OR: German Teaching license for the subject of Germ

Desired

  • Experience with IB Curriculum

  • Non-traditional work experience

About the Position
WABE International School is looking for an English teacher, ideally with experience of teaching across grades 5-12 .This is a full-time classroom position. This teacher may also be asked to teach some courses during our afternoon program as required. The position is initially for a 2 year contract.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Prepare & teach high quality English lessons to middle and high school students.
  • Prepare & teach high quality History lessons to students within the IBDP at standard and higher level
  • Prepare & teach high quality lessons in sister subjects and/or afternoon programme sessions as needed.
  • Be committed to Child Safeguarding practices and conduct yourself within them
  • Administer and model WIS’s school policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a gradebook in line with organisational requirements that is backed by fair, accurate and transparent assessments.
  • Communicate issues in a timely, respectful and situationally appropriate manner between students, teachers and parents.
  • Participate in collaboration sessions, conferences and school-wide events.
  • Engage in professional development.
  • Be prepared to undertake field trips with students, including overnight trips during one school week a year
  • Support the school’s commitment to being a diverse, inclusive community.
  • Be comfortable using technology to support learning and lesson delivery.

    experience

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable teaching experience
  • Mother tongue level English
  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in English or a Master in Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in English
    • Valid teaching qualification and license (PGCE/QTS or equivalent)
